Tracey regains clearer vision for crafting and bird watching
1-2 minutes
Tracey Blight, a 60-year-old customer who is disabled and housebound, hadn’t had an eye test in six years. Confined to her bed, she had resigned herself to living with poor vision—until she saw an advert for OutsideClinic on TV.
"I saw the advert on the telly and thought, 'Oh, I won’t have to go out!'" Tracey says. The idea of an eye test at home immediately put her at ease.
Tracey was also pleasantly surprised by the range of glasses available. "I was really pleased with the wide variety of glasses to choose from," she shares.
Over the years, Tracey had missed out on the small joys that once brought her happiness. "I used to enjoy making key rings, but with my sight the way it was, I couldn’t see the small holes to thread the strings, so I had to give it up," she says. "I watch a lot of TV now because I can’t read anymore."
When asked what she's most looking forward to after receiving her new glasses, Tracey was excited to share her love of nature.
Thanks to the care and service provided by Jhanara Islam and OutsideClinic, Tracey is about to rediscover those little things that make life brighter—from crafting key rings to spotting the vibrant colours of birds outside her window.
