Salary: £55,000 depending on experience base salary with commission
Hours: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week

Job Summary
As our new Sales Manager, you will part of our Customer Services Management Team and responsible for an outbound team who convert our leads into customer appointments and convert quotes and recommendations into orders. You will identify opportunities to maximise sales utilising the OutsideClinic customer database across all products and services together with identifying opportunities for complementary products and services in collaboration with our Marketing and Commercial teams.
This is an exciting opportunity to get in at the start and build our new approach to sales. We are bringing together a number of existing teams as well as enabling you to grow the team and turn potential opportunities into sales.
You will develop and implement a clear strategy for our Sales teams, design the structure with commissions and incentives and develop stretching targets and KPI’s for yourself and the team.
You will drive the team to achieve their goals and their sales targets and provide regular updates and reports to the Senior team.
Principle Accountabilities
Sales
- Set clear sales targets and direction for the team on what they need to achieve their targets.
- Accountability for the process of converting leads into customer appointments.
- Accountability for driving the efficient transformation of quotes and clinical recommendations into confirmed orders.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sales conversion rates.
- Overall accountability for delivering against the sales targets, working with the managers and the teams to ensure they have all they need to achieve, through training, development, processes, systems and incentives.
People
- Lead, motivate, coach and manage the Sales team to ensure they achieve their targets and goals.
- Monitor the team's performance against targets and KPIs regularly and make proactive interventions to ensure the team deliver.
- Foster a positive and high-performance culture within the team.
- Identify and recruit new team members to support growth and meet increasing sales demands.
- Through working collaboratively with the Quality Management team, respond to feedback and learnings and ensure the Sales team delivers a high standard of customer service and satisfaction.
- Work with your team managers to ensure a culture of continuous improvement, refreshing and honing the teams sales skills.
- Develop, implement and embed sales training modules across the wider customer services teams to continually improve and our grow sales capabilities and drive a sales culture.
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement a clear and effective sales strategy for the team.
- Design the organisational structure of the Sales team to optimise performance and scalability.
- Set ambitious targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for both the team and individual members.
- Provide comprehensive updates and reports to the Senior Management team on sales performance and strategic initiatives.
- Work closely with other departments, such as Marketing, Finance, Commercials teams and across Customer Service, to ensure alignment and support for sales activities.
- Maintain clear and effective communication channels within the team and with other stakeholders.
- Participate in Customer Services Management Team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and strategic direction.
About you
Along with a proven track record of leading and growing a high performing sales team, you will have the ability to develop and implement short and long term strategies. You will be results oriented with a focus on achieving sales targets and driving performance and be customer centric in your thinking. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, commercial acumen and strategic problem-solving skills.
You will have empathy and be adept at developing appropriated sales approaches for our elderly target audience and the family members. You will have expertise in consultative selling recommending product, services and solutions that suit our customers needs. You will able to manage the competing demands of meeting sales targets without overselling, creating refunds and risking reputational damage.
You will have experience of:
- A sales management role
- Working in a customer services contact centre
- Analysing sales data, identifying trends and making data driven insights
- Building or growing a sales team including setting targets, structure and introducing new commission structures and incentives.
- Managing a mixed team of remote and office based colleagues
In addition to your principle accountabilities above you may be required to perform other duties from time to time, and to operate in line with company policies, procedures, NHS guidelines and current legislation at all times.
